Dr. Ratna Panvekar is an accomplished educator and researcher with a Ph.D. in Physics (2008) and over 22 years of academic experience. She has been serving as an Assistant Professor at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai since 2008. Dr. Ratna has presented five papers at national and international conferences, holds seven patents (four published, three in process), and has received the prestigious JRF from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University..

She has contributed to academia through her roles on interview panels at TISS Mumbai and the University of Mumbai, as a university paper setter & as a panel member, and as Head Evaluator for the Civil Services Main Examination at JPSC Jharkhand. She has organized conferences, attended numerous FDPs, and was honored as a judge at the Science Project Exhibition in Dombivli. Her accolades include the Excellent Presentation Award at an international conference chaired by Dr. David Robinson Stanford University, USA, and the Eminent Scientist in Physics Award Year 2025 by SSRD registered under Govt. of Telangana on International women’s Day.
