Dr. Shagufta Sayed is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with over two decades of experience in engineering education and academic governance. Currently serving as the Dean of Academic Affairs at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering (MHSSCE), she brings a unique combination of academic excellence, administrative expertise, and industry awareness. Her academic journey spans a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Mumbai, preceded by a Master’s degree in Construction Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering.

At MHSSCE, she has led numerous institutional initiatives and academic reforms as a key member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), College Development Committee, Academic Audit Committee, and Career Advancement Scheme Committee. She also serves as Convener and President of both the College Women Development Cell and Internal Complaints Committee, demonstrating her commitment to inclusive academic spaces. In her department, she has held pivotal responsibilities such as NBA Coordinator, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Testing Centre In-charge, and Advisor to the Civil Engineering Society.

Dr. Sayed’s research primarily focuses on sustainable urban development, green construction, and lifecycle cost analysis. Her Ph.D. research on green components in urban mass housing has been published in reputed journals such as ASCE and Elsevier B.V. She has authored multiple papers in international conferences and national journals, and regularly delivers expert lectures on construction management, infrastructure planning, and sustainability.

She is actively involved in university-level curriculum reform, paper setting, and academic evaluations for institutions such as Mumbai University, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, and NMIMS. She is also a reviewer for international journals including Elsevier’s Sustainable Cities and Society.

Known for her dynamic leadership and student-focused vision, Dr. Sayed has also contributed to college fests, professional development workshops, and faculty training programs. Her extensive exposure to both academia and professional contribution adds practical depth to her academic pursuits.

I am a passionate educator with over 24 years of teaching experience in Information Technology, currently serving as Head of the Department of IT. With a Ph.D. in Technology, I specialize in object-oriented programming languages, having taught C++, Java, and Python for more than a decade. My expertise also spans cloud computing, big data, Machine Learning, and Data Science DevOps, while I have been dedicated to teaching Automata Theory for over 15 years. As an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and CPOC for AWS and Oracle Academy, I strongly advocate a practical-oriented teaching philosophy, ensuring learners gain hands-on knowledge and industry-ready skills. Mr. Shrinidhi Gindi is an accomplished academician with over 26 years of teaching experience and 3 years of industry experience as a Service Manager in the telecommunications domain. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, he combines deep technical expertise with a commitment to value-based education.

His areas of specialization include analog and digital communication, image processing, Internet of Things (IoT), and cybersecurity. With more than 30 publications in reputed journals and conferences, and two design patents to his name, Mr. Gindi is deeply involved in academic research and innovation. He is a sought-after speaker on Universal Human Values (UHV), having conducted over 20 sessions at institutions nationwide. A committed mentor and administrator, he continues to guide students not only in academics but also in ethical and professional development.

Dr. Shabeena Sayed is a dedicated academician and an accomplished researcher, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. With a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and a strong foundation in both teaching and research, she has significantly contributed to the fields of data mining, artificial intelligence, and educational technologies. Dr. Shabeena has authored numerous Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed publications, and has guided several innovative projects addressing real-world problems. Her commitment to academic excellence and student development is reflected through her involvement in project mentorships, scholarly publications, and interdisciplinary innovations aimed at improving public health, education, and digital systems.

Dr. Ashfaq Shaikh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Compiter Engineering programme at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 23 years of experience, he has been dedicated to fostering academic excellence and professional development at the institution. He has published several research papers in reputed international journals and has actively contributed to enhancing the institute’s industry engagement by creating placement opportunities through initiatives like Mastek Deep Blue (Seasons 2 to 10), Amazon DeepRacer and winning several national-level hackathons, and more. He has also organized various Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), including sessions on Big Data Analytics and Stress Management, aimed at supporting the continuous growth of faculty members.

Farzana Khan is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai, with over 13 years of academic and research experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Pillai’s Engineering College, affiliated with Mumbai University.

Her core teaching areas include Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Software Testing, and Database Management Systems. She is known for her dynamic teaching style, hands-on approach to learning, and ability to integrate emerging technologies and industry trends into the curriculum. In her academic career, she has served as a Class In-charge, Mini Project Coordinator, Store In-charge, and Internal Assessment Exam Coordinator, among other roles.

Dr. Shagufta Sayed is an Associate Professor and the Dean of Academic Affairs at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 20 years of academic experience and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering focusing on life cycle costing and sustainable housing, she has made notable contributions in research, administration, and teaching. She has held significant roles in institutional development including WDC President, NBA Coordinator, Alumni Joint Secretary, and Internal Complaints Committee Convener. Her expertise lies in green building components, construction management, and sustainability in urban infrastructure. She has delivered expert lectures at reputed institutions and served as a paper setter, evaluator, and reviewer for leading journals and universities.

Dr. Ganesh Kame is a distinguished academician and structural engineering expert currently serving as Professor and I/C Principal at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. An alumnus of the prestigious IIT Bombay, he holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with deep research specialization in structural analysis, design methodologies, and system validation.

With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Kame is known for his strong leadership and commitment to academic excellence, driving accreditation processes, and curriculum reforms in technical education. He has served as Convener and Member on multiple University of Mumbai committees, contributing to the revision and modernization of engineering syllabi. Under his leadership, the college has witnessed academic innovation, enhanced research output, and strategic growth in student and faculty development.

As a researcher, Dr. Kame has authored numerous scholarly publications indexed on Google Scholar in the areas of earthquake engineering, structural safety, and construction methodologies. His professional repertoire also includes consultancy in design vetting, proof-checking, and methodological validations for civil engineering structures. Er. Ateeque Ur Rehman Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 30 years of dedicated academic and professional experience, he has played a vital role in nurturing academic excellence and promoting holistic development among students.

He has taught a wide range of core civil engineering subjects, including Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Theory of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Design and Drawing of Steel Structures, Prestressed Concrete, and Bridge Engineering. His commitment to education extends beyond the classroom, with active involvement in the teaching-learning process and curriculum development.

For 14 years, he served the institute as Incharge of Examinations, contributing significantly to the efficient conduct of academic assessments. Over the past 5 years, he has been serving as the Associate Training and Placement Officer (TPO) for the Civil Engineering Department, facilitating industry engagement and student placements.

In addition, he is actively involved in various syllabus revision committees at the university level and contributes his expertise as a subject expert and examiner for State-Level Public Service Commission Examinations.

Dr. Uma S. Kale is a seasoned academician and environmental engineering expert with over 17+ years of teaching and 2 years of industry experience. Specializing in sustainable development and green technologies, she has published 25+ research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, holds patents for her innovations, and contributed a chapter to the esteemed Taylor & Francis book “Circular Economy in Construction Industry.” She regularly delivers expert talks on sustainable development and industrial waste management, including at CIDCO, and has served as a subject expert on environmental recruitment panels.

Dr. Kale is a strong advocate for civic engagement and environmental awareness. She has led numerous student-driven workshops, awareness programs, and outreach campaigns, earning accolades from the Government of India’s Election Office. Her institutional leadership includes roles as Program Officer of the NSS Unit, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, and active reviewer for academic journals. Mr. Doulat Chainani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 25 years of combined academic and industry experience, including 19 years in teaching, he brings extensive knowledge in structural engineering, transportation engineering, and environmental engineering. He is actively involved in syllabus development under the University of Mumbai and serves regularly as a paper setter, moderator, evaluator, and expert for core civil engineering subjects. He has also contributed as a lab in-charge, student mentor, and institutional event coordinator. Dr. Ravindra Patil is an accomplished academician and Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. With extensive experience in research and teaching, he specializes in image processing, digital signal processing, and embedded systems.

Dr. Patil has contributed significantly to the academic and research landscape through his prolific output of over 25 publications in national and international conferences and journals. He has also authored two books with LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing. His research primarily focuses on content-based image retrieval (CBIR) and wavelet transforms.

In addition to his academic pursuits, he has organized and participated in numerous AICTE-ISTE approved STTPs and workshops, delivered invited talks, and has mentored student startups. He is also actively involved in institutional responsibilities as NISP Coordinator, NBA/NAAC Committee Member, Assistant Exam Controller, and EDC Cell Coordinator.

Mr. Abdul Sayeed is an experienced academician and currently serves as Assistant Professor and In-Charge Head of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. With a robust teaching career spanning over three decades, he began his academic journey in 1990 and has been a valuable contributor to MHSSCE since 1996.

He has taught a wide range of subjects in electronics and communication engineering and brings rich academic and institutional experience. Mr. Sayeed has contributed significantly to curriculum enhancement, departmental leadership, and accreditation processes.

He has also participated in numerous AICTE-ISTE approved STTPs, orientation programs, workshops, and national-level seminars aimed at academic enrichment and professional development. Mrs. Rihana Jamadar is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 22 years of teaching experience, she has served in leading academic institutions, with her longest tenure being at MHSSCE since 2009.

Her teaching interests span Wireless Communication, IoT, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, and Communication Systems, and she brings valuable industrial exposure from her project tenure at SAMEER, IIT Powai. A committed academician, she has actively contributed to institutional growth by serving as IETE Coordinator (organizing over 25 student seminars), ISTE Member, and core member of Women’s Development Cell and accreditation committees such as NBA and NAAC. Her scholarly contributions include multiple national and international research publications, including IEEE conferences. Her current focus lies in IoT applications, UWB communication, image processing, and VANET routing schemes.

Dr. Nayana Chaskar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she brings academic rigor and a research-driven approach to undergraduate engineering education.

Her doctoral research is focused on high-gain wideband antenna design using PRS and RIS layers, with key interests in metamaterials, EBG-based antennas, and array configurations for 4G and 5G communication. Dr. Chaskar’s academic initiatives include innovative pedagogical approaches such as flipped classrooms and project-based learning, aimed at enhancing student engagement and outcomes.

She has played key institutional roles as project coordinator, thesis mentor, examination in-charge, NAAC/NBA contributor, and curriculum developer for EXTC courses. Dr. Chaskar’s commitment to research is reflected in her patents and impactful journal publications in reputed peer-reviewed platforms including IEEE and Wiley. She holds an M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Calcutta University and has served as a Research Fellow at IIT Bombay where she worked on Organic Solar Cell Fabrication in the field of Nanoelectronics. Her academic tenure includes a role as Lecturer at Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Additionally, she has 1.3 years of industrial experience as a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies, with skills in software testing, QTP scripting, and user security testing.

Dr. Amol Shashikant Sankpal has been associated with M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering since 2011 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. With over a decade of academic experience, he combines in-depth subject knowledge with a strong inclination toward emerging semiconductor and nanoscale technologies.

His doctoral research focused on memory device performance at the nanoscale, specifically optimizing retention time and leakage power in DRAM structures. Dr. Sankpal has published several research papers in Scopus-indexed international journals and conferences, including Springer and IEEE, in collaboration with leading researchers in the field.

He has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programs, STTPs, and national/international workshops. He has also successfully received a Minor Research Grant from Mumbai University to develop a “Smart Door Security System with Biometric and Iris Scanner Access.” Beyond academics, he has been consistently involved in institutional activities including mentorship, research promotion, and student project guidance.

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Shaikh is currently serving as the Assistant Professor and Head of the Computer Engineering Department at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With a cumulative teaching experience of over 20 years, he has significantly contributed to both academic and institutional growth. He has been associated with MHSSCOE since 2005 and is an active member of CSI and ISTE.

In his academic tenure, he has taken up numerous administrative responsibilities including Alumni Coordinator, Social Media Desk Coordinator, and In-Charge of Programming Lab. He has organized multiple state and national-level hackathons and actively mentors students on technical and career-building platforms.

His Ph.D. research focused on High Speed Biometric Probe Image Retrieval using Big Image Data on Cloud, reflecting his core interests in biometric security, big data, and cloud computing.

Dr. Nazneen Pendhari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering with over 23 years of academic experience. A recognized researcher and educator, she has made significant contributions in the fields of Image & Video Processing, AI, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, and Compiler Construction. Her Ph.D. research has been ethically approved and recognized for practical application at T.N. Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai.

She has guided over 50 undergraduate projects and hackathon teams, and published more than 40 research papers in reputed journals and conferences. As a proactive leader, she has held numerous academic and administrative responsibilities, including Academic Dean, NBA Coordinator, NAAC Coordinator, and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) Convenor. She is an approved examiner and paper setter for the University of Mumbai and has actively contributed to syllabus revisions.

Dr. Pendhari’s outreach includes talks at prominent organizations like Infosys, Zetta Computech, and Libra Web Solutions. She is a recipient of the Best Paper Award at an international conference in 2021 and is actively engaged in initiatives that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital learning among students.

: Mr. Anand Bali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai, with over 25 years of academic experience. Since joining the institute in 1999, he has played an instrumental role in shaping student learning in core computing and electronics subjects such as Programming in C/C++/Java, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, and Communication Systems.

His early professional journey included industry roles as a Sales Executive at Advent Engineers and Customer Support Executive at Abacus Solutions, which enriched his teaching with practical insights. Ms. Nafisa M. Mapari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai, with 16 years of dedicated academic experience. Her areas of teaching expertise include Microprocessors, Object-Oriented Programming, Advanced Operating Systems, and Internet Programming. She has guided numerous undergraduate projects and mentored research work, including prototypes selected under the UNDP-NMMC Innovation Challenge.

She has contributed significantly through publications, workshops, and FDPs, while also actively engaging in department-level event coordination, curriculum planning, and technical guidance. She is a Life Member of ISTE and has undertaken extensive faculty development in emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, NLP, and Cybersecurity.
